Trick for division

So for division we will follow some steps and learn this trick with the help of two examples....

EXAMPLE 1
So we will divide 160 by 9...
REMEMBER: This method is only used to find the quotient and remainder of large numbers but this example is for understanding the concept.

STEP 1
Write the number like this...

STEP 2
If the divisor comprises only one digit, then draw a line by counting 1 digit from the last in dividend like this.....

REMEMBER:

If the divisor comprises 2 digits then draw a line by counting 2 digit from the last in dividend.

STEP 3
Make the divisor 10 if it is between 1 and 9 , simply write the number below divisor which will make the divisor 10..like this......

REMEMBER:
If the divisor is 8 you have to write 2 below it etc.
Most important thing you need to remember is that: If the divisor comprises 2 digits you have to write that number below it which will make the divisor 100...for example : suppose the divisor is 50 then you have to write 50 below that number because          50+50= 100 .

STEP 4
Write the first digit of dividend as it is below like this...

STEP 5
Now multiply the two numbers that is multiply the number below divisor with first number of dividend and write the required number below the next number of dividend's first number like this....

Since here 1 is multiplied by 1 therefore the answer is 1.

STEP 6
Add 6 +1 and then write it below the line and then again multiply 7 with 1 written below the divisor and write multiplied number below the third digit...like this
STEP 7
Now add ones digit of dividend with the number written below it and write it below the line like this...

This is the easiest method but one should make sure that practice is very much important for achieving perfection in any work. So keep practicing time to time.
